WHO...ME?

Jasmine Ashanti Gillenwaters, born and raised in Memphis, TN, began performing in her living room at the age of six. An admirer of all things creative, Jasmine has always embraced the joy that singing, dancing, and acting has brought her. After a nasty ACL tear in 2017, she took a step away from performing to focus on her mental health in the physical therapy room. It was her freshman year production of  ‘Catch Me if  You Can’ that re-ignited the spark, and she hasn’t looked back since. Jasmine is a graduating Musical Theatre major at the University of Memphis. She hopes to inspire young (or young at heart) artists to allow no boundary, whether mental, physical, or financial stop them from pursuing their dreams. When she isn’t on the stage, Jasmine enjoys cooking, snuggling with her pets, and writing dystopian fiction.
